The Relationship Between Joe Kennedy and Bobby Kennedy

Joe Kennedy pressed his reluctant son to make Bobby the Attorney General, which guaranteed that there would be an anti-Mob crusade. Was Joe deceiving Sinatra during the campaign? Or was this just mafia propaganda against the Kennedys? I guess we'll never know for sure. My hunch is that Joe Kennedy made some representations to Sinatra and Sinatra, who was very savvy when it came to the entertainment world. Obviously a great artist, but he was politically a neophyte and I think he was played.
