The Importance of Pride in the Christian Tradition
i think that in the in the positive sense. We've bee talking about pride in terms of appropriate self regard, right? Like this idea that all sense of self is gone,. The only sense of self that you have left is everything bad you've ever done or has happened to you - that's shame. And those who want to embrace pride are trying to speak back against the imposition of shame upon others. i think we see a very micro version of that also in a quick moment between doumble dor and snape – they're sitting around the christmas table in dumble dors like christmas crackers.
