The Anxiety of Modernity
I think the anxiety that modernity Generates I think about this a lot is how it brings up or it intensifies the notion of wasting time Even relative to enjoyment, right? Because now let's say you go on a vacation You can now feel guilty that you haven't achieved whatever Projects you wanted to get done over the weekend. So there's almost this kind of weird relationship where it's an anxiety of like as a being I have this finite amount of time I have to be but even when I invest in something that is a waste In quotations that can still generate This guilt That is placed on me.
