The Importance of Comparing Stalingrad to the Second World War
I've seen many pieces that refer to Bachmout as a Stalingrad, and I think that the foreign desk felt that this was something that was worth pulling apart a little bit. The fact that we're able to talk about a city and European soil in the 21st century as being comparable with Stalingrad is just extraordinary, and as I said before, it shames us all really.
