The Immediate Tracking of Uncertainty in Babies
The same kind of setup that has been used in the animal experiments has also been used in work by Louise Gupel and Sekua Day in Paris. They had these lovely experiments where they allowed babies to watch a toy being hidden in one of two boxes. And then the babies would be given the opportunity to choose one of the boxes. But again, because there was a bit of a delay involved, so the babies sometimes made errors. Then the researchers could measure how long do the babies search for the toy in the box that they've chosen? And what they found was that they searched for the toy longer when they choose the correct box and when they choosing the incorrect box. So that's
