Is There a Delay in Treatment of Meningitis?
Each hour counts. So when does the meningitis begin? Most of the studies looking at each hour counts actually times it from arrival in hospital, but clearly the patients got some being sick enough or short enough. And then they've got to be seen, then it's got to be diagnosed. But if you narrow down on the first few hours, and we're saying within the first five hours, there isn't that much difference in mortality rates.
