Disney Buys ABC Capital Cities for $19 Billion
In the early 90s, ESPN is crushing it. Buffett suggests to Tom Murphy that he should get together with Michael Eisner, who's the CEO of Disney. In a matter of days, they had worked out the terms, and Disney buys ABC for $19 billion. By the mid-2000s, by the mid 2000s, the cable network division within Disney was 90% of it or whatever.
