Sir Ernest Shackleton's Death
Sir ernest shackleton was born in county kildare and died on a sub antarctic expedition to south georgia. His boyhood home was in sydenham, where the year blue plac is erected six years after his death. He wasn't conventionally academic, although he was interested things like poetry. On one of his first merchant navy trips,. he brought back a nest of alligators with him and kept them in the garden until apparently, the entire domestic staff at 12 westward hill threatened resignation unless he got rid of them.
