Acute Mesenteric Stenting - Exposed SMA

In our specific patient here today, we actually chose to perform a retrograde acute mesenteric stenting. So when you think about how to go in there and expose the SMA, I think this is a technique that's important to learn for trainee or even junior faculty coming on board. And if you can't sew or clamp that there, none of these are going to be an option. We then used a micropuncture needle and wire to gain access to the SMA coming retrograde back up towards the aorta. Once we concluded that, we then shot a diagnostic angiogram from the aortic side to confirm robust flow into the SMA and felt pretty
