My father is a physician and he's actually an ochronologist. He treated transgender people in the 70s in Canada before there was any protocols. And so I think, you know, they have that embodied experience of supporting people who are in extreme distress. A lot of my my dad's patients died of AIDS. They were murdered. They killed themselves. There were not a lot of options available to them. You can you can talk them into hating themselves, you can bully them into wishing that their lives were over," she says.
