On this edition of Road Trippin', Channing and Allie discuss first overall pick, Victor Wembanyama, and his beginnings as a member of the San Antonio Spurs. Channing marvels at his uniqueness, while dismissing some comparisons that have been mentioned about him. Channing also sets the record straight that he called Wembanyama going to the Spurs way before it happened, and how it's a great fit for him. Also, Channing mentions how he thinks Damian Lillard could benefit from joining the Spurs, and list the reasons for why it would work not just for San Antonio, but for the Portland Trail Blazers as well.
Also, Allie asks the question of who will be the face of the NBA in the next five years. Channing believes it will be someone unexpected, but discusses options like Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic, and Victor Wembanyama. Channing also gives some perspective on a recent debate of who he thinks is the better player: Nikola Jokic or Larry Bird.
