Herschel Walker was very famous in his native Georgia, extremely successfully. He did go on to the NFL and played with distinction, but not quite the same level of sort of the, he was the best college player in the country at one stage. But right now, the incumbent Democratic Senator, the Reverend Raphael Warner, is leading Walker in most pools by a little bit.
