Is Freud's Analysis Helping the Ego Out?

Sally Kohn: Freud doesn't theorize the interminable as a form of the terminal. She says there's so much about the ego attaining a certain mastery over the symptom, right? Kohn: It seems like he's trying to find this way for this idea that's not really popular but he is a believer in it.
