Lick: I grew up in east los angeles, and we actually had to rive all the way to the west side. The reason that we were at a matinee was because, ike, that was all my mam could afford rain. As a black kid from estala, i didn't see people like us doing science. And so it was definitely not through the lens of, oh, i see someone who seems like me doing a thing,.
