Los Angeles Public Schools Getting More Funding
Education expenditures in the US increased by about 27% after adjusting for inflation over that time. But teacher salaries in real terms dropped by 2%. Whenever there's an increase in funding, most of it doesn't go towards teacher salaries. It goes towards putting more people into the buildings and putting it towards administrative bloke which is great for union bosses because that means more dues paying members. Los Angeles public schools have reported numbers just the other day that they've lost 6% of their school enrollment. There's a mass exit from the public school system nationwide. 1.5 million students have left the traditional system whereas charter schools have increased their enrollment by about 7.1%. Home schooling has at least tripled
