The l d p has been in power a really long time and is by far the most successful political party in japan. Experts do think his death contributed to vote or turnout, which went up from forty nine % in two thousand 19 to 52%. Now there is one way his death may really have had an influence though, and that's that the party got enough seats to have per majority, meaning two thirds of parliament. But whether or not the constitution will be amended and article nine changed or removed is yet to be seen. The recent russian invasion of ukraine did seem to lead more people to reconsider whether article nine could actually cause problems for Japan.
