The Importance of Semantic Versioning in Rails
Rails is like the backbone of your entire application for example. You really want to be able to depend on semantic versioning there. So that's why, you know, I don't want to ship 1.0 and then feel three months later that I want to ship a 2.0 because I want to change one class name or something like that. Yeah, so all that to say I think ultimately at the end of the day if you can just follow semantic versioning everywhere that is the best in terms of making things predictable for people.
