The Cognitive Bias in Advertising
We have this truth bias that's kind of built in. And we also have, we know, I'm sure has heard me talk about before about the confirmation bias. We seek out information that confirms our beliefs rather than information that disputes or disconfirms our beliefs. So biases might be too strong in that that implies something negative about what we're doing when really most of the time it's fine. It would be terrible to assume that everybody was lying to you all the time, right? Because the base rate of truth is pretty high.
