Rishis Yunnan and the Royal Coronation
There has been some chatter in the opposition parties that Rishis Yunnan asked the palace to organise the royal coronation a couple of days after the local election. I wouldn't put it past the good burgers of the Conservative Party and the Government Administration to come up with such a ploy. It feels to me it would have been slightly high risk of jeopardy for that to get out and frankly to insult the king, to offend the palace who consider the coronation very much within their remit to decide the appropriate date. But no, it is handy for the government that this is being eclipsed in many ways by other more shiny and easy to interpret events. There's always such a mixed picture
