Take the Initiative

Initiative comes from the word for one or to initiate, means to start. For reaction it means you, it has the idea of your waiting,. Something happens in the world, and somebody else does something, then you have to do something too. So he's saying this is actually a much more effective thing to do in life. You get better results when you take action first instead of waiting. Don't wait for someone to tell you; don't wait for something to happen. Take action first.
