The first nine books really do sort of follow Augustine's life chronologically from his childhood all the way to his conversion in his early 30s. In book two as Augustine mentioned what I just read we see Augustine falling into the lusts of the flesh right in book three Augustine falls into what he calls curiosity in a kind of bad senseKind of being distracted by things that that are illusory and aren't really permanent but whoever does the will of God abides forever. until he dies dies a happy death like Monica okay so in that context maybe we could talk a little bit about how does Augustine try to narrate his life right because we've been really kind of distancing ourselves
