Dove Charnie was sued at least eight times based on allegations of sexual misconduct. The board of American apparel kept a docket of his personal text messages trying to find some like dirty information to fire him for. Gilden is a Canadian t-shirt company but American Apparel was originally only called American Apparel because Dove was selling it in Canada and was like using that as their selling point.
