In Philippians, Paul says everything is JV compared to the surpassing worth and greatness of knowing Christ. In chapter 3, verse 7, whatever gain I had counted as loss, I now count as loss for the sake of Christ,. Then immediately goes into a second time: Indeed, again,I count everything as loss because of Christ being supreme. And then we see what he puts on the other side of the scale - that's all dung.
