The Different Types of Morphology
A morphem is usually considered to be the smallest grammatical unit in a language which has some meaning. Morphemes can't necessarily sit by themselves as words so ness is a morphem, nes,. Any double s which is a suffix appended to the end of a word to turn it into a noun. The morph essentially refers to shape and the eem is sort of a generic unit of linguistic structure.
