The Evolution of Domesticated Cats
Domestic cats were from the very beginning perfect for humans. They did exactly what humans wanted them to do, so there was no need to select any particular character or trait of these cats. The Maria and her team are continuing to research the DNA of cats across time to try and tease out those changes associated with domestication. But it strikes me that those cats bold enough to approach granaries thousands of years ago have ended up with an evolutionary advantage over their wild counterparts.
