The Value of Life

There is something horrific about what we're doing, but I can't really see the alternative. A good part of the cost of delivering treatment is getting access to people who need it. The WHO has a balancing act to do and needs to balance fairness against goodness. We should sacrifice some unfairness for the sake of doing a greater amount of good with the resources that we've got available.
