How to Structure Your Training Programs

I think kind of the point you're getting at here is there's no right or wrong answer to the difference between a beginner or an advanced student. So you're giving them just enough variability to keep them engaged in thinking, but not so much variability that they go into cognitive overload. I mean, your brain literally turns off once it starts you're uncomfortable with what it's doing. They've done fMRI studies where activity goes down the more familiar you are with a thing. It's just about managing the novelty though. You know, you don't want things to novel because it's just chaos.
