The Exaltation of the Flower
The Pharsala Stelli shows two women, each wearing the peplos garment and a kecri phallos. They appear to be holding a type of flower, perhaps either poppies or pomegranate flowers. The motif of the cedent female figure was especially popular in the east as we saw with Sibile in episode 55. A charioteer from matcha clings to the body very transparently, revealing an outline of muscles around his thighs, hips, and buttocks. This would not appear in mainland Greece until the end of the century.
