Was there an intention for a layer like lit or something on top of web components as to be the authoring experience? I think in my point of view, the answer is clearly time dependent and no for the time being. Hopefully we get to a point where native APIs do give you all the DX that the libraries do. And then everything else will kind of be layered on top.
