The Death of Francisco De Avila
Francisco de Avila was a priest in the late 1500s and early 1600s that had a particularly interesting life. He assumed the role of eradicator of idolatries in the central region of Peru. The Wara Chiri manuscript has been used for utterly contradictory purposes. It was once used to eradicate Indian thought, and now, for scholars like Jorge, it's a tool to revitalize it.
