The Importance of Forgiveness
From the perspective of Jesus, he's worried that the father will overly punish the Roman soldiers who are simply doing their job. He said, they don't fully understand. Therefore, I'm going to forgive them. Do you see how that becomes a guiding message in my life? If anyone ever does anything to me, the statement I need to remember is father forgive them for they know not what they do. And there it becomes a standard of living.
