The Public Choice in Politics

I think the public choice compared to other schools of economics was the insight about politicians also work with at the margin. One of their cost and benefits that they consider is winning re-election, right? Winning votes in the process. This is in a way a sick way to my own experience. I ran for governor of North Carolina in 2008 but got 2.8% because I spent a lot of money during the summer when no one is spending money in a political race. The main thing that I learned from this experience was the job of the two candidates from the state sponsored parties was not to answer the questions. So I would answer a question and they would each repeat some memorized nonsense.
