The Surprise of Deep Learning

The 2012 deep learning surprise and the chat GPT surprise are probably the most identifiable kind of AI surprises. One more big source of training data is videos of what actually happens out there in the world. I think we're beginning to get to the edge of the training data we have. There's no doubt that lots of things will become possible there, like a human avatar responding on this way to another person or thing. That seems to require quite a lot of computational resources for a while but it could be very exciting.
