What I've Been Thinking About Since Episode 5 of Things Fallen Apart

i've been thinking about it a lot since i first heard the series. Is condescension. I think in that very first episode where you're telling the story of the clash between the evangelicals whoe become politicized about abortion and income. And does this feeling, know that those evangelicals are being condescended to and treated like they're intellectually inferior? But then those pro choice campaigners are just people passionately fighting for progress and women's rights. So both sides felt exactly the same thing about the other. The idea that this condescension perhaps comes back to hauntes with those people who've been condescended to then voting for trump.
