Is There a Better Way to Connect to the Ancient Silk Road?
I think that greater openness and integration, you know, certainly has been beneficial. But we also have to recognize that globalization is certainly not a new thing. You know, if you connect to a faraway source of manufacture that does it better and cheaper than you, some local people lose their jobs. Even going back to Roman times, I forget if it was Cicero or one of these Roman very notable people complaining about the Romans loving Chinese silk too much.
