Amnon lay down and pretended to be ill. When the king came to see him, Amnon asked for cakes from his sister Tamar. But when she brought them near him to eat, he took hold of her and said: "Come lie with me" She refused but he forced her and slept with her. He then sent out all who were not related to him as a punishment.
