Is America Apocalyptic?

American religion is very much about, again, we get to the Gnostic, peeling back the veil. It's apocalyptic in both ways. There was a political dimension to this where the apocalyptic language was being used to describe the end of the old order and the beginning of something better. So at Ephrata where people were, they built this beautiful community and they ate a special diet to be able to sing these brilliant songs that were being written by the master of the community.
