What Is the Middle Class?

If you're screwed, if you lose your job, by pretty soon you're amember f the working class. The dependents, te dependence on a job is, i think, sort of e defining feature of this. And one of the problems here is that we've got a by pars in politics on which, like both the major parties, have been fundamentally committed to shiftingon the plane of political debate away from what working people actually need.
