The Difficulty of Getting Behind Your Decision
Tarek: I think it's incredibly complicated because this stuff isn't that largely out in the open. We need a much more arms-length government approach, but one that's really willing to get behind the arts and everything the arts can deliver. And we equally need an arts council that feels empowered to really support the subsidised ecology in a really meaningful way. Tarek: For that to happen, what you need is serious people doing some serious work at every level in order to make that ecology function correctly.
