What Is a Union?

i was wondering if you could what one, i mean, just an incredibly basic level, explain what a union is like legally. Because i feel like that's also something that is not as well understood as it should be. Unions are legal organizations that can only operate on a dues basis. They get used to do things like rent a union hall, m pay staffers to help you with your organizing. And so for a lot of people, unions will feel like a professional association at lobbies on their asp,. rather than a collective expression of the will of workers in a particular workplace.
