The Scholar of Myth
In 1976, Professor Campbell delivered a lecture on the power and beauty of myth. The talk was given in front of an audience at Columbia University's New School for Social Research. In that year, genocide had been initiated in Cambodia by the Khmer Rouge. Two assassination attempts were made against President Ford; Rembrandt painting slashed while hanging in Amsterdam museum.
