Adaptive Search in Tea Cells

The idea that we've really been pursuing here is that search in theory is often different from search in practice. Tea cells are essentially searching for, you know, viruses, pathagans in your body. So we can think of them just like ants in a colony or robots in a swarm. They're going off, they're searching, they communicate with each other. In all three of these cases, the ants and the tea cells and the robots, ant or structural constraints really change what's the right way to search a space.
