The Chinese State Becomes More Like the United States

Students begin to see China as less different, to understand that average daily life in China has very little to do with politics. So this is how, so people come to imagine the state through these features and as such, the Chinese state also at times begins to seem less tyrannical. And it's kind of ironic because this idea of consumer freedom becomes the expression of normality here.
