"I probably may have the most kind of stereotypical illusions about what goes on in psychoanalytic therapy. But my basic notion is that it's all sort of based on, again, the Freudian talking cure," he says. "In a certain sense, whatever psycho drama is working itself out through your language and through the narratives you're telling about yourself, the analyst is supposed to be almost like a blank canvas."
