Is It Too Long and It's Too Much Money?
Lue Lamarello: Bohorbat was in a really great spot. I think anytime you're signing an eight year deal with a player that's 27, that is too long. That doesn't mean Hohorbat can't perform up to the level of this contract. Like it is possible. But eight years in pro sports, when you're already multiple years into a career, is a lifetime, right? And so there was a lot of pressure on the Islanders.
