The History of Psychodelics
The term psychodelic emerged out of an exchange between huxley and osmond. In different cultures these would be understood and referred to as very different things, perhaps plant medicinesand perhaps we could apply a different term, like antheogensas i mentioned earlier. Iowasca isan amazonian brew, which contains a number of different psychoactive plants. And so davis, in describing the use of iowasca, says that these preparations,. the iowaska preparations, allow people to invoke some technique of ecstasy.
