Is This Really Effective Leadership?
The fossil fuel industry is not being starved of investment. That's because they're making a lot of money and there are plenty of investors who are willing to take some of that share of the profit. I think it's also really important to not look at all of these net zero commitments that companies like Microsoft and others have made as great leadership. At best, this is kind of very effective PR. I'm not sure it's real leadership.
