The media and surveyed machine learning researchers seems to think that AI will destroy humanity with a 5 to 10% chance. Often people are already intellectually convinced, but haven't integrated that into their behavior. Kachio would guess that convincing the 10 most relevant leaders of AI labs that this is a massive deal would get you some decent slowdown just on itself.
