In Ho-Hum times people don't want to risk extremism. But when they feel that things are falling apart, they're vulnerable to the appeal of a Hitler. One of Hitler's greatest advantages was good fundraising. As unsexy as it is, Nazis need money too. If you see their money flowing to a political movement that meets traits one through four, you should be worried. These are the things I've learned from reading the rise and fall of the Third Reich.
