The Goths and the Roman Empire
A group of Tevindji struck a deal with valence to enter the empire. The Greuthungi, another group of Goths, have now entered without striking a deal. A unit of Gothic soldiers in the Roman army was stationed at Adrianople for the winter. Other sources tell us of slaves, some of whom were Goths who had been transported south of the border,. running away to join the marauding Tevindji.
